Packing and moving in 100 degrees

We received the keys yesterday to our new place. Dare I name it here? It would almost be....I don't know, unfaithful? (Ok, Iceberg that one was for you!!)

This evening we began moving. The temperature had dipped to 83 and it was pleasant to be outside. We were thankful for K's fam's help and the truck. It's sad to be leaving this place and the love that we have poured out in it and upon it. So many have shared this place of rest. We will miss the comfort & peace it offers.

Yes, Ducky we miss you too and wish you were here for the last late nights and cooking fairs at Fairvilla.

Fairvilla Farewell...but Faithful we remain...

Ok, so that sounds like a cheezy title, I know. But, the day has come. The Fairvilla Ladies are moving out of Fairvilla. But, its not like they will stop being the Fairvilla ladies. Right? Because as our motto says, "once a Fairvilla Lady, always a Fairvilla Lady". Anyways, its not like we could become the Lofthill Ladies...it has alliteration, but not all of us are moving to Lofthill, and so we would not have that in common anymore. I'm rambling.

Well, I just want the Fairvilla Ladies who remain at Fairvilla to know I wish I could be there to help you move. I can't wait to see this new place and visit you all there. Maybe I will even have to crash on the couch pillows on the floor a night or 2 :-)

Negotiation

Don't you hate it when you feel like you're on the top of a negotiation & then they thow you time sensitive curve ball. You might want to hit it, but you're not sure. Well that happened to us this evening as we were looking at a house. After we returned home, we received a call: "If you put down the $1k security deposit we won't show the house to anyone else and you can move as soon as July 1st."

Ugh...so we all have an icky, unsettled feeling and almost lost our appetite for dinner. It's the best option yet, but we still don't know about the cost/# of people in the house/payment of utilities.

Lord, give us wisdom.
