Psalms 5:11-12

"But let all who take refuge in Thee be glad, Let them ever sing for joy; And mayest Thou shelter them, That those who love Thy name may exult in Thee.

For it is Thou who dost bless the righteous man, O Lord, Thou dost surround him with favor as a with a shield."

I keep coming back to these verses, several times a day ever since Sunday. With so many changes happening, with so many questions rising in my head, with so many things to do and be managed, with so many choices to be made, I keep coming back to these verses.

Be glad. Sing for joy. Take refuge in the shelther. Exalt. Watch and wait for His blessing. Trust His favor to protect.

Old Year

So I've said goodbye to the old year; but I'm not quite sure I'm ready to let it go. I wish there was a print out at the end of the year; an analysis of what succeeded and failed, what went well and what went bad, what wisdom was gained and what was lost, to help give a since of finalty.

I'm a saver and a savorer, holding on to what I've seen, heard, touched, tasted, and and experienced. Come year-end it's time to sort the savored and the saved. Making the time for that will be the challenge.
