Burning midnight oil

It’s been a full day...work, a lunch date for Bridesmaid 101, teaching quilting to two very willing friends, tutoring English to one very unwilling 5th grader, making potstickers for dinner, begrudging housework, and now it’s with an exhausted sigh, that I sit down to type this. Sighhhhh!!!!!

Life is more complicated than I’d like it to be sometimes.

But then there are hot oatmeal raisin chocolate chip cookies, cold tall glasses of milk, long phone conversations with brothers, movies watched surrounded by friends, hair tie wars, crazy stories, and goodnight hugs. These things bring life back into perspective and bring me back to enjoying the present, despite its complexity.
